See your form on a phone
Most applicants fill in forms on their phone. Before you share a form, check how it looks and works there, without sending anything.
Phone view
- In the builder, click Phone view at the top.
- Your form shows at phone size, including changes you haven't saved yet.
- Try it out: answer questions, check your show-or-hide rules, and go through the pages. Nothing is sent from here.
- Close it with the cross, the Esc key, or by clicking outside it.
Open the real form
Click View at the top of the builder to open the form's link in a new tab. This shows the form as it was last saved. If you have unsaved changes, Formhub asks first, so save before you look.
You can also open it with View form ↗ on the form's ⋯ menu on the dashboard, or at the top of the form's other pages.
Take care on the real form: if you press Submit, it is sent like any other response.
Preview one question
In a question's settings window, turn on Preview at the top. It shows how people will see that question as you change it. Formhub remembers your choice for the next question.
Good to know
- On phones, questions you put side by side show one under another, full width. See Put questions side by side.
- The builder itself shows your logo, form name and letterhead above the questions, like the real form.
- Library forms have their own Preview. See Start from the form library.
- When you're happy, share the form by link.
