Pages and sections
Long forms are easier to fill in when they are broken up. You can group questions into sections on one page, or split the form into several pages that applicants go through one at a time.
Sections on one page
- Section bar: a coloured bar with a title, such as "PERSONAL DETAILS". Drag it from Design elements to where a section starts, then type its title in its settings.
- Box / page: a box with a title that holds questions. Drag it onto the form, then drag questions into it. In its settings, change the Title.
A box can be shown or hidden with everything in it. See Show or hide questions.
Several pages
- In the builder, click Details at the top.
- Under Layout, choose Several pages.
- Your questions go onto Page 1. If your form was already made of boxes, each box becomes its own page.
- Click + Page above the form to add a page. Click a page's tab to work on it.
- To rename a page, click the page, then Edit, and change its Title.
- Click Save at the top right.
Applicants see one page at a time, with Previous and Next buttons, and Submit on the last page.
Move a question to another page
You can only drag questions within the page you're looking at. To move one to another page:
- Open the question's settings.
- Under Page, choose the page.
- Click Save in the window. The question moves to the end of that page.
Good to know
- The Submit button always stays at the end of the last page.
- To go back to one page, choose One page under Layout. If you had more than one page, each page becomes a box on the one page.
- Applicants can't go to the next page until the mandatory questions on the current page are answered.
- Check how your pages look with Phone view.
