Password and two-factor login

Your password and two-factor login keep your forms and responses safe. With two-factor login on, Formhub asks for a code from your phone as well as your password.

Log in

Go to formhub.me, click Log in, and enter your Username or email and Password. Tick Keep me logged in on this device on a computer only you use.

Change your password

1. Click Password in the menu on the left.
2. Type your Current password.
3. Type your new password twice. It needs at least 12 characters.
4. Click Change password.

Forgot your password?

1. On the log in page, click Forgot your password?
2. Type the email address of your login and click Send reset link.
3. Open the email and click the link. It works for 60 minutes.
4. Type your new password twice and click Save new password.

Turn on two-factor login

You need an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.

1. Click Two-factor login in the menu on the left.
2. Scan the QR code with your app. Can't scan? Type the key shown under it into the app instead.
3. Type the 6-digit code from the app into Code from the app.
4. Click Turn on two-factor.
5. Formhub shows 8 recovery codes. Click Copy codes and keep them somewhere safe. They won't be shown again.

From now on, after your password, Formhub asks for the 6-digit code from your app. Type it and click Verify.

Lost your phone?

On the code screen, type one of your recovery codes instead. Each recovery code works once.

Move two-factor to a new phone

1. Click Two-factor login in the menu on the left.
2. Type your Password and click Set up on a new phone.
3. Scan the new QR code with the new phone and confirm the code.

You get new recovery codes, and the old phone stops working.

Good to know

• Two-factor login is optional unless your account requires it. While it's optional, you can click Not now to skip it. Formhub can make it required for every login in your account: just ask.
• After too many wrong codes, Formhub makes you wait a few minutes before you try again.
• Each code from the app works only once.
• Lost your phone and your recovery codes? Email admin@formhub.me and Formhub can reset your login.
• To give a colleague access, don't share your password. Give them their own login. See Logins for your team.
